In today's lesson I wanted to take a little bit of a step back and look at the role of the hypnotist in the hypnotic process. So many people believe that the hypnotist must use some kind of power to 'put people under' but it's really not like that. All hypnosis could be described as self hypnosis and when you clearly understand this process it makes the idea becoming a hypnotist much easier to accept.
The metaphor that I use in this lesson can be used to describe the hypnotic process to your clients. It's shifts some of the responsibility of entering trance from you to them, which can be pretty handy when you first start out practicing on your friends!
I hope you enjoy the lesson.
